At last, Studio 23 will be showing Episode 11 of Grey's Anatomy's 5th Season. I wasn't able to plunge into illegally-posted episodes in the net, so I'm savoring the wait I'm doing before the show starts... by the time I post this blog, the show may have started already... :D
*****
Since I started my blog about Grey's, let's talk about something medical... examining the difference between a Medical Technologist and an Embalmer...
This was raised when, during a talk, a friend referred to my future professional work as digging into human insides and preparing the corpse for burial.
Wrong, my friend, wrong... I mean, seriously?
Medical Technologists administer the necessary laboratory tests on blood, body extracts and fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases. The only times Med Techs encounter the human corpse is during an aid to the Anatomic Pathologists at the Lab for an autopsy. I hope that clears things, further...

Grey's Anatomy has already started, and I am clearly tempted on watching it, even though there are many thoughts that are clamoring to be blogged on. So, I am postponing my blogging for tomorrow before I go to my duties...
Seriously?

I was walking early this morning to fulfill my day's work, earphones lodged unto my ears. And it all happened in a major city street, not far from our home.
On this street, I waited for the vehicles to clear so that I can cross to the other side, a necessary traversal so that I can make it to the major road where I take my daily jeepney ride.
It took a few moments for the one-way street to clear. As the vehicles were lessening, a man was mounting his bicycle a mere two feet from where I stood.
I was preparing to cross the street as the last of the long line of cars dashed before my line of vision when all of a sudden, I felt something hit my right thigh. It was the same man that was two feet away, racing against the flow of traffic, hitting me with the dirty front wheel of his wretched bicycle.
Earphones on, I gave him my rarely used cursing stare, thoughts circling within my mind... HOW THE HELL COULD YOU HAVE HIT ME? I HAVEN'T EVEN MOVED A SINGLE INCH. YOU'RE THE ONE RIDING AGAINST THE VEHICLES. WHY HIT ME!!!... I stared at his speechless embodiment, crossed the street, checked my white garment for stains, and smiled for the rest of the day...
Good psyching, right?

I'm currently listening to the album "Josh Groban: A Collection" and accustoming my ears to the mellow voice of the artist. Understand that I'm not a huge fan of solo artists, chiefly because I never get the chance to encounter them in my past musical adventures. :D... Thanks to Ms. Christine of Warner Music Phil. for the free 2-disc CD, hehe...

I've just started reading the first book in the Gemma Doyle Trilogy, "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray, and I must say, it gets better every chapter... thanks to Leia for recommending and lending me this series.
In reading the first five chapters, I've come to a somewhat interesting conclusion for a young adult novel. As the plot thickened, I've discovered that the technique Libba Bray employed combined the writing style of an essay, the mysticism of a classic short story, and the plot flow of a fully-developed novel. This is one piece that can even encourage modern readers to venture into the literary classics of old.
Well, that's just me... I've yet to finish the book, and you'll see if I can share more interesting discoveries from this bestselling novels... that's it for now.

I made the effort to organize my art materials since I'm working on new projects using charcoal. I still am practicing, but based on the journal I've kept, I appear to be making quite some progress on the drawing styles. I've yet to ask people on their comments, though.
So I will be posting some projects soon. Who knows? Maybe I'll give one or two to you, dear reader...

Last Monday, I met my friend, Leia to pick some stuff up prior to her Fondue treat this 17th. Included within the package is the NECA Cullen wristcuff I ordered through her from Hot Topic which was brought home by her officemate's brother from the States. I've been waiting for this item ever since I asked her to order one for me. My Christmas is finally complete because of the arrival of this precious merchandise.
*****
The first time I got to wear the cuff publicly was today, when I met fellow Twilighters Leia, Sheila, Meann, Gary and my cousin Mabs (The TCP Gang) for Leia's Fondue treat at Haagen-Dazs Megamall.
Here's a rundown of the day's happenings:
~ Ate lunch with Leia at Amici Megamall... pasta and antipasti galore!
~ Down to Haagen-Dazs for Leia's treat
(by order of appearance: with Leia, Mabs, Sheila, Meann and Gary)
~ Two Fondues eaten (Yum! yum!)
~ Met Ms. Christine of Warner Music Phil. for an "interesthing"
~ Up to Megamall Cinemas to claim TCP's tarpaulin

How does it feel to be a Cullen?
When people stare at you for being a vampire...
When people shriek at the sight of your vampiric presence...
When you catch attention by merely being there...
Hehe... I'm quite exaggerating... but I did get stares at the mall today!
The bunch of us wore something Twilightey today... hence, the attention...
I wore the Cullen wristcuff
Leia wore her Hot Topic Edward shirt
Mabs wore Rosalie's necklace
Sheila wore Alice's choker and her Twilight hoodie
Gary wore the Cullen wristcuff as well
Meann wore Bella's bracelet?! :)
Here's a few interesting happenings that happened to us at Megamall:
2. When I was holding the menu before ordering at Amici, I caught a table of friends looking at my wrist...
3. Leia bumped into a group of girls who literally shrieked at the instant sight of her shirt...
4. When Leia and I were about to leave Amici, four people from the next table stared at the two us and our Twilight merch...
5. Ate Mabs complains of neck pain reminiscent of Voldemort's Horcrux while we were at Haagen-Dazs...
6. A girl passed by our table, stared at Leia's shirt, then Sheila's hoodie, Mabs' necklace and my wristcuff and then pointed us to her mom...
7. People stare at us as we walk the crowded hallways of SM Megamall
8. Sheila's guy friend gains interest on buying a Cullen wristcuff

You may say, why should I concern myself? Well, I happen to have come from a Science High School, and strange as it may sound, experienced a similar scenario, with my fellow batchmates, of being led by a below-standard Principal. But the way things have happened at QCSHS seem to be way out of hand, simply because it made its way to the news. I mean, my batch did pretty much the same things to our Principal way back, but no one was actually suspended for voicing his or her opinions about the head.
I know the culture in Science High Schools, having spent time in it for four years, and I must say that students of these specialized schools put a great deal of value on their voices and their traditions. Messing with them makes the students upset, and it takes a great deal of understanding and skill to get their side.
*****
I tried looking for the said blog. I don't know if I did find it, but I found many sites which echo the same ideals these four students would've had. This is so that I can weigh the issue on both scales before I do a somewhat lengthy blog on the issue. Being the journalist that I was, it wouldn't be hard for me. Unfortunately, the only blogs I saw were against her... hehe...
Based on what I've read, the Principal did incur the wrath of the student body by doing a mix-up of their already established teachers, threatening the existence of their publications, banning their school choir from singing, confusing the order of their Varsity teams, literally preventing the students from using the Internet and making their blogs, and many other things that the community saw as dictatorial and tyrannical... tough words, eh?
Why the choir? Hehe... I'm a choirmaster, what do you expect...
No to Blogs? Seriously, can anyone stop that? All she can do is suspend them... hmmm...
All I can say is... And I thought my Principal was the worst... seems this one's worse
I just hope that things get solved early on, where everybody's happy and the former glory of the QCSHS and other Science High Schools in the country be raised back to their pedestals.
*****
Which brings me to the end of this blog, where I pay tribute to my dear old Manila Science High School. May your glory shine forth until the end of time...

Hmmmm... being a Twilightguy subjects me to a wide array of questions and interests, owing to the fact that Twilightguys are a rare race in the world of Twilighters. It makes me smile, though, when I realize that I am not alone and there are other guys reading the Saga.
It is also interesting that Twilightguys enjoy a Twilight discussion as much as female fans do. Experiencing chatting with them, even doing a podcast, made me conclude that though the Twilight fandom is interesting in its own right, what makes it more interesting are little quirks and whims within it such as the existence of a race known as Twilightguys.

I'm not trying to be Caleb Nation or anyone in doing this sort of blogs... this is just a mean of writing off my musings and contemplations on being unique... :)

On another note, I just bought a new charcoal pencil and a new drawing pad, since I'm starting to delve into the art of drawing with charcoal media. Black and white artworks never fail to amaze me, especially the essence and tone of charcoal ones. I hope this would be the right one for me... it's just that I find painting too messy for me and my home.. I'll show my artworks once I finish every other one.

The start of the year prompted me to relive my passion for writing essays, but since blogs are in season, I opted to venture into the creative communities of the web. I just hope I can keep this account up, like what I do in Multiply, since I've already neglected my Friendster account.

OK, I just finished watching Happy Feet on HBO, and Mambo just freaked me out with his feet... but the movie somehow rang memories in my system... I'm at the crossroad now...

I came across a friend whom I haven't seen since August, Irish, as she posted a blog on her site about the latest McDonalds commercial. I posted a number of comments, since I'm fairly familiar at where it was shot. The Ad was very cute, even if "HINDI NAGING KAMI SA HULI"... hehe...
These are the Ads that banner Filipino creativity, not the likes of "TAKIPSILIM"... Go McDonalds! I Love your Fries...
